Join Connecticut ASIS at the ON20 Restaurant as we dive into a comprehensive analysis of active shooter incidents. This free educational seminar will cover a historical analysis of active shooter events, active shooter preparation methods, and post-incident business continuity. A complimentary breakfast will be provided by our host, HSB.
about our speaker
Jim directs Summit’s rapidly expanding security operations in Connecticut, managing day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling and client relations at over 70 locations across the state. He oversees Summit’s two Connecticut Regional Offices in Hartford and New Haven. Prior to joining Summit in 2018, Jim served as Security Operations Manager for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Previously, he spent 20 years as a police officer with the Hartford Police Department, retiring as a Captain. During his time with the HPD, he was Commander of the Emergency Response Team, leading more than 250 active SWAT operations and coordinating multiple executive protection details in collaboration with the United States Secret Service for both the President and Vice President of the United States. Jim is also a decorated Combat Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Between his service in the U.S.M.C. and the H.P.D. he has been recognized with a number of awards and commendations. He studied Criminal Investigation and Police Administration at Central Texas College. He is currently a Police Commissioner for the City of Bristol’s Police Commission, appointed for a three-year term by the city’s mayor.
