Scholarship

The CONASIS/ASIS Scholarships that will be available in 2011 are as follows:

Scholarship Applications will be accepted through September 15, 2011.

 

 Allan J. Cross CPP Award

The ASIS Foundation is pleased to announce the 2011 Allan J. Cross CPP Award application period. The Allan J. Cross, CPP Award provides free tuition and materials for the CPP review course offered at the Annual Seminar either the English or Spanish review. An application and scholarship criteria are located on the ASIS website at http://www.asisonline.org/foundation/crossawardform.pdf.

The application process is conducted entirely by fax. Only applications received on fax number (703) 706 - 3710 will be considered. Applications can be received no earlier than 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Savings time on June 1, 2011 and no later than June 30, 2011. Any application received before June 1st will not be considered. The first 25 scholarship applications received after June 1, 2011 will be funded.

La fundación de ASIS tiene el placer de anunciar el periodo donde se puede someter aplicaciones para el premio de CPP 2011 Allan J. Cross. El Premio de CPP Allan J Cross ofrece materiales gratis para la enseñanza del curso de revisión CPP. Admisión gratis al curso de repaso en Ingles o Español también se ofrece durante el Seminario. Las primeras 25 aplicaciones recibidas después del primero de Junio serán financiadas.

 Andy Parr Memorial Scholarship

Award(s) in this category are made in memory of Andy Parr, former Chapter Chairman, professional colleague and friend to many within the security industry. This award may be provided in one lump sum of $1000 or be divided at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee. All awards in this category will be matched (up to $500 total) by the ASIS Foundation. Awarded to students who major in the field of Criminal Justice or Security Management who have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in their field of study.

 Security Practitioner Scholarship

 Award(s) in this category are made to security practitioners who are either full or part-time students in any field of study. This award may be provided in one lump sum of $500 or be divided at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

 Chapter Member Dependent Scholarship

 Award(s) in this category are made to a dependent child of a Chapter member in any course of study. This award may be provided in one lump sum of $250 or be divided at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

Student Writing Competition.

 The Student Writing Competition will reward students who conduct research, engage in thoughtful deliberation, and write an academic paper between 3,000 and 6,000-words long on an issue relevant to the security and assets protection profession.  More information coming soon.
