We all want to prevent future acts of targeted violence. This one-hour primer will introduce you to the realm of Threat Assessment and Management (TAM), the only proactive solution available. Dr. Leite will explain the principles and practices of Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM), focusing on differences between various types of violence, introducing you to fundamental concepts of threat assessment, and how to manage the crisis of a threat. You will leave with a solid understanding of the cornerstones of BTAM and the essential elements of developing, implementing, and managing a threat assessment team, along with a wealth of resources to further explore TAM. The presentation will be contextualized around the recent attack on the United Healthcare executive and the issue of domestic violence in the workplace—two of your primary concerns.
