2014 CPP Review Course Print

Member News

Dear ASIS Members and Friends,

The ASIS CT Chapter (CONASIS) is offering an excellent opportunity for you to advance your career and industry standing through certification.  The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) credential is accepted as the “Gold Standard” certification of the security industry providing instant credibility and validation for security professionals.  CPPs are generally found in well compensated managerial or consultative roles.  Many CPPs have authored books or magazine articles and are considered experts in the area of security management.

All CONASIS members are welcome to attend the 2014 CPP Review Course which will begin in late February or early March.  The group will meet one evening per week from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for 10-12 weeks at a Greater Hartford Area location to be announced.  The initial meeting will provide general information about all ASIS certifications as well as a description of course objectives and requirements of the attendees.  Subsequent meeting sessions will cover the eight CPP domains.  The program will conclude with a wrap-up session including study and exam taking tips and an opportunity to test your knowledge with a friendly competition using sample CPP exam questions.

We’d also like our CONASIS members to extend this opportunity to non-member industry associates; non-members will be required to apply for ASIS membership prior to the initial meeting.  This program is offered free of cost.  Participants will be responsible to obtain study materials through the ASIS Book Store.

Please email Larry Amarucci, PSP directly at [email protected] (Certification Officer) and/ or Jim Carpenter, CPP at [email protected] (instructor) if interested in participating.  You may also visit www.asisonline.org for further details about certification including a free 60 minute webinar to see if the CPP is right for you.
